Dj Pete MG AKA Peter Munch Godtfredsen was born for a reason, to create, play and share music with the world around him. What makes the world turn and what makes his blood run faster through his body is as simple as it gets: Music.

"Music has given me the possibility of touching and moving people, from all over the world, and attribute to a better world by putting all my love and focus into the music. I feel that what I give to the world comes back - so every gig, every show and every little piece of music that I make, is given my full attention."

Dj Pete MG was put in front of a piano, when he was 7 years old, but nothing really happened, nothing really inspired him enough to continue lessons and he ended up playing with computers instead. Eventually the need for expressing himself through music came back in his 13th year, and a new teacher was found, Ryan Sam. Ryan, was a classic trained composer that focused on the piano and singing, so in that sense he was a traditional piano teacher with a lot of drive and inspiration. What really made the difference was an old Atari Computer that Ryan used for composing his own songs. The possibilities with this machine were endless, and the year after Peter was lucky enough to have his very own keyboard (ensoniq) and very own first synth (Roland D-110). This is where it all began - and the musical journey that Peter is on will never end.

In the following years Peter played in many bands and experimented with all instruments, bought a bass, a guitar, a drum kit (poor neighbors), harmonicas, even more keyboards and samplers and effects, and suddenly Peter was where he wanted to be. Working with the music from the moment he woke up to the moment he went to bed. The influences were everywhere, The Doors, Jimi Hendrix, Nirvana, Cannibal Corpse, Oscar Peterson, Metallica, Herbie Hancock (headhunters), Erykah Badu. And right about here, Peter started to dig into the big bowl of dance / electro / club music. Everything from Drum´n Bass to Deep House was in Peters stereo, and the urge to share this music eventually had to be fulfilled. So Peter started annoying everybody around him and played at his school, private parties and such.

After a while, Peter started Djing at a small club in Copenhagen, a RnB, Pop and Classics. But the urge to show his audience new ways, new sounds and new music made Peter develop the playing style he has today. Always taking chances and moving toward the limits. Always experimenting with the crowd, to show them new ways.
